St Mary’s Parish Grafton, the oldest Parish in the Lismore Diocese, is preparing for the 150th Anniversary of Foundation.
Celebrations are being planned from 5th – 9th December, 2012.
Activities being considered at present are:
• A Weekday Mass and luncheon with former St Mary’s Clergy and Priests of the Diocese.
• Vigil Mass followed by BBQ (Saturday)
• Mass followed by morning Tea (Sunday)
Please note your diary! When details are formalized they will be available from the Parish Office.
To cater for our Parishioners, the weekend Masses will take the form of a Vigil Mass on Saturday evening followed by a sausage sizzle in the Church grounds.
The 8.00am Sunday morning Mass will take the form of honouring our pioneers in the hope that parishioners will wear pioneer dress and the music of the Mass will celebrate the “golden oldies”, followed by morning tea in the Church grounds.
Former Parishioners will be most welcome, a chance to catch up with old friends!
Please make note of this in your diary.
