Catholic primary schools from Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Bellingen and Graftton region recently came together to take part in Carol Light, a carol singing competition hosted by Mary Help of Christians Parish, Sawtell and held at St John Paul College.
The event was the beautiful realisation of Sawtell Parish Administrator Fr Joy D’Souza’s vision: to bring our Catholic primary school communities together to celebrate the joy of Christmas, all while enjoying a bit of friendly competition!
Thanks to the incredible hard work of a dedicated planning committee and the tireless efforts of the choir teachers across all our schools, the day was truly memorable and all participants had a wonderful time.

Large choir competition
1st place – St Augustine’s, Coffs Harbour
2nd place – Mary Help of Christians, Sawtell
3rd place – Mary Help of Christians, Sawtell
Small choir competition
1st place – St Augustine’s, Coffs Harbour
2nd place – St Mary’s, Bellingen
3rd place – St Mary’s, Grafton
