We recently launched the Catholic Youth Lismore, a new initiative of the Diocesan Youth Council and ministry of the Diocese of Lismore. The initiative has been established to strengthen, unite, and grow youth ministry across the Diocese in response to the desires expressed by young people seeking belonging, connection, and opportunities to encounter Christ and His Church.
The name and brand were developed through a process of consultation, testing, and refinement to ensure they reflect both the identity of the Diocese and the aspirations of young people. The project represents a significant step toward building a stronger and more connected network of youth ministry across the region.
Importantly, the launch of Catholic Youth Lismore does not replace existing parish youth groups. Rather, it provides a shared identity that brings together the many youth ministry initiatives already taking place throughout the Diocese. This unified approach will strengthen collaboration, create greater opportunities for connection, and provide a consistent presence when engaging with Catholic youth events across Australia.

Catholic Youth Lismore will primarily operate through its online platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, where diocesan-supported youth ministry initiatives (parish based, national, and international) will be promoted and coordinated. Parishes, schools, and communities are encouraged to support the launch by sharing content, promoting the platforms locally, and inviting young people to become involved.
Young people, parishes, and schools can connect with Catholic Youth Lismore on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube by searching @CatholicYouthLismore.
The launch reflects the Diocese’s commitment to accompanying young people in their faith journey and creating spaces where they can encounter Christ, build meaningful relationships, and actively participate in the life and mission of the Church.
